Forty plus years ago, at the age of 21, I made the decision to become a Christian.

By this I mean choosing to believe in the gospel of Jesus and to be a follower of His ways.

​To say that from then on life was all sunshine and roses would not be true!

Like most of us I have experienced many life changes, heartaches and disappointments in life. 

But what IS true is that the relationship I’ve developed with Jesus over the years has been the anchor that has kept me going, has enabled me to get up again when I’ve been down, and has helped me to change and grow.

One special thing has been a constant in my life, no matter what else I’ve been involved in. My love for writing! 

Whether it was essays at school, journaling in an exercise book, or tapping away on a laptop, writing has always given me special opportunities to share from my heart. After I became a Christian I started to realise that writing is my gift from God, (we all have at least one gift from God) and that He wants me to use this gift to its full potential.

That is how ‘Jenspen’ came to be.

Jenspen is all about writing for the glory of God and about sharing the words He shares to my heart. 

As I write this I am 63 years old, yet I don’t believe I have reached the full potential in my writing journey. 

I guess I will be learning and developing this gift until the day I go home to be with Jesus.

It is my deep prayer that when that day comes, my writings will go on and continue to bless others and to bring people into a deeper relationship with God.
