Im not sure now when I first wrote this poem. It was about 5 years ago. Our whole relationship with God starts with our choice to believe in Him. Our journey to eternal life starts by believing in Him.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For me this journey began when I was 21 yrs old. I was invited to church. I went but I didn't have a good attitude about it. My life to this point had been one of rebellion since I had been about 13yrs old, rejecting my upbringing and traditional lifestyles. I thought I had it all together in those days! However that day in church I heard the gospel message and somehow I just knew that this was what my heart had been looking for. I responded that day by walking up to the front of the church and saying a prayer that said I wanted to live for Jesus from that day on.
Over 40 yrs later, no matter what else has happened in my life, I remain thankful for that moment when God showed me He is real. For showing me that He is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6)
My prayer is that this poem 'Believe' reaches into the hearts of others who need to know that Jesus is real and who is the answer to everything they have been searching for. Amen
2. HAPPINESS

Being happy is state we all desire to be in. Sometimes we look for happiness in ways that aren't good for us and in ways that are harmful to us and those around us. In my HAPPINESS BIBLESTUDY we talk about the keys to true happiness in life, no matter what is going on around us.
I remember my teenage years when I tried to find happiness by partying, using drugs and alcohol and in relationships. It never brought the satisfaction I so deeply needed. Others believe happiness will come if they can gain wealth, yet suicide statistics show that this is not the case. For many, happiness can become something we are always trying to 'reach'. When we do this, or have that, we tell ourselves, we will be happy.
I hope you will join me in this bible study that shows the true path to Happiness and to the truth that happiness is available to all, right now, and is not based on 'things' at all.
Bless you and may HAPPINESS rule in your life, no matter what!

This is a poem that speaks of the awesomeness of God in how He created the oceans, rivers, lakes, and all the living creatures that live in them. It reminds us of the greatness of God in ways we will never be able to fully understand.
This is also a lovely poem to read to children.
In the BIBLE STUDY relating to this Creation Poem, we share more deeper on this, including many wonderful bible verses that speak of the wonders of God.
Sometimes we need a reminder of how wonderful our God really is! When we've been Christian for a long time, we can tend to take Him for granted, just like our other relationships. Spending extra time with God by reading His word and just talking to Him (which is all prayer is), or singing a special worship song, can put our focus back on Him instead of all the distractions that try and come in this busy world we live in. It gives us a fresh appreciation for all the wonderful things He created too!
